Our Mission

At the Weingart Center, our mission is to empower and transform lives by delivering innovative solutions to combat poverty and break the cycle of homelessness.

As one of the best comprehensive human services organizations in the United States, we are committed to establishing a world in which all people have and maintain a high-quality productive life.

The Weingart Center proudly operates in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row where the transition from recovery to self-sufficiency happens every day.

To enroll in a program you will need to visit our Hope Row Resource Center and talk with someone who will help you get started. It is open from 8am – 4pm, Monday through Friday. and is located at 501 E. 6th Street in Downtown Los Angeles, on the northeast corner of 6th and San Pedro streets. You will need to provide your ID and social security card.

 

The Weingart Center for the Homeless provides comprehensive human services to homeless men, women, veterans, parolees, families, HIV+ and other at-risk individuals, giving them the skills, resources, and hope they need to lead productive lives off the streets. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row, the Weingart Center for the Homeless is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that breaks the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
