The AmeriCorps program provides outreach, referrals and advocacy to individuals and families in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles and provides them with specialized services such as hygiene kits, clinical information and program and service referrals. Members prioritize housing for those who are most vulnerable through a coordinated entry system (CES). They simplify the process for securing permanent supportive housing by advocating and accompanying clients to all necessary appointments. They also recruit, train and supervise volunteers for organizations in the community, which supports the goal of Hope for the Homeless. To become a member contact our Access Center at 213.833.5020.
