Programs and Services

The Mission of the Weingart Center is “to empower and transform lives by delivering innovative solutions to combat poverty and break the cycle of homelessness.” We give people the skills, resources, and hope they need to break the cycle of poverty and lead self-sufficient lives.

We serve the general homeless population, as well as several target populations. We provide residential and community-based programming, but most importantly, we unite the services that people need to achieve stability and self-sufficiency under one roof, with case-conferencing, and a level of cross-discipline integration rarely seen in the field.

Our model is individualized and client-centered, with high regard for our clients’ dignity and privacy. They are our reason for doing what we do.

To enroll in a program you will need to visit our Hope Row Resource Center and talk with someone who will help you get started. It is located at 501 E. 6th Street in Downtown Los Angeles, on the northeast corner of 6th and San Pedro streets. The Resource Center is open from 7:30 am to Noon and 1:30 to 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday. You need to provide valid ID.
