Moving into a new home is an exciting time for many, but for those who have recently overcome homelessness, the transition to permanent housing can be daunting. Despite ongoing support, affording basic necessities like bedding and cookware remains a challenge. You can make a meaningful impact by purchasing one or more of the kits below, offering individuals the support they need to settle into their new homes with comfort and dignity.

Why not include friends and family by hosting your own Welcome Home Kit fundraiser or party? Here’s how:
Host a Welcome Home Kit fundraiser
Raising money to fund Welcome Kits will help make sure everyone moving in has everything they need for a fresh start in their new home! Earn as much as you can, as every $540 raised will cover the cost of one (1) Complete Welcome Home Kit. If you’d like to include some marketing materials with your fundraiser, let us know.
Volunteer to assemble Welcome Home Kits
Look above at the items that go into a Complete Welcome Home Kit and shop for those items at your favorite store. Then, get together with family, friends, or co-workers and bundle a kit, or two, or ten of your own! Each kit donated will go directly to someone moving into their new home. Remember, only new, unused items should go in a kit.
Host a donation drive for Welcome Home Kit supplies
Your group can make an impact by hosting a drive for kit supplies. You can volunteer onsite at a Weingart Center location to assemble the kits and learn more about our mission to break the cycle of homelessness for thousands in the greater Los Angeles area.
